EducSCO apps are bilingual

Published on 13/09/2024
School means education, means EducSCO! As the core programme of the SCO in France, EducSCO is adapting its two online applications to the English language.

They have been designed to help teachers in their mission to raise young people's awareness of climate change, but they are aimed at everyone, from 7 to 77 years old. Promoted at European level within the ESA/ESERO framework, the two EducSCO apps are now bilingual:

  • EducSCO Temperatures allows you to visualize and analyze temperature trends from space anywhere in the world. The user manual is available in English as soon as you open the app.

  • EducSCO Weather and Climate uses a similar, simplified interface to adapt it to a young audience. It looks at changes in weather (short-term) and climate (long-term) and defines the concept of seasonal "normal".

Their data is based on satellite data and covers the whole planet.

♥️ One of the very first projects to be implemented from 2020, EducSCO is a cornerstone of the Space for Climate Observatory. Acclaimed by the teaching community, it is constantly enriching and improving the educational resources available to raise young people's awareness of climate change and its impacts. Apps, training courses, videos and teaching packs are all available online for the widest possible distribution and use. 👉 See all of EducSCO.
